It’s been hot. It’s been humid. Yesterday night was full of heat lightning. A big set of clouds worked their way over top of Halla-san and as they came down the side of the mountain it was like fireworks! I stood outside of my apartment holding my camera for about half an hour trying to get some shots. The mosquitos had a field day with me as I couldn’t move or I’d miss the quick flashes. I’d say I missed ninety percent of the shots I tried to get! It happens so fast that by the time you hit the shutter it’s long gone. Most of the images I did manage to get are because I’d just start shooting when there was no lightning and then hopefully it would start before my 11 image buffer ran out. I would have liked to use a tripod and spent more time fiddling with camera settings for exposure, but I didn’t have the time.
